Book Review: Tangled by Emma Chase

Book Title: Tangles
Author: Emma Chase
Genre: Humor, Adult, Erotica, New Adult, Romance
Main Characters: Drew Evans (told from his POV), and Katherine Brooks
Setting: New York

Summary(From Goodreads): Drew Evans is a winner. Handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. He has loyal friends and an indulgent family. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed?

He’ll tell you he has the flu.

But we all know that’s not really true.

Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. She refuses to let anything - or anyone - derail her path to success. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.

Then, just when Drew is on the cusp of having everything he wants, his overblown confidence threatens to ruin it all. Will he be able untangle his feelings of lust and tenderness, frustration and fulfillment? Will he rise to the most important challenge of his life?

Can Drew Evans win at love?

Tangled is not your mother’s romance novel. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks he knows. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can’t live without.

What I thought: Before I read this book I read a lot of reviews about it and let me tell you now that it was hard to find a negative review of this book (well not super hard, but I had to do a lot of scrolling... hahha), so many people enjoyed this book a lot, that for a moment I thought that I wouldn't enjoy it since so many people were raving about it, but after I started reading it I just fell in love with the characters, I laughed out loud, it was so good.

Reading from Drew's point of view was just hilarious, I loved being in his head, which i honestly didn't think i would like, I usually hate guys like Drew, honestly, but the way he thought and spoke and the things he did just made me love him so much, he made me laugh and smile, it was just such a fun read, and I recommend it to anyone who is interested in reading it (even if you aren't completely sure if you want to read it, I definitely recommend picking it up and giving it a try!)

Stars: I originally gave this book a 4.5 stars out of 5, but thinking about it now, I want to give it 5 stars out of 5

Would I reread ?: I think in a few years, I would definitely be wanting to reread this book, I really enjoyed it.

Birthday Book Haul

I got some money for my birthday and i went shopping the other day and decided to uy some books I've been wanting for a while, so These are the books I got.

First i got Daughter of smoke and bone and Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor, Originally i was just going to buy the first one, but my brain was like well if you buy the first one the second one will be left on the shelf so lonely... and i was like well.. we can't let that happen! haha, If i haven't said it already.. I have big problems when it comes to buying books haha.

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins - When i first read this Trilogy I got my copies from the library, so i never owned my own copies, and when i saw the mockingjay on sale, i had to get it!, I just had to!, the weird thing is that there were over a 100 copies of mockingjay but not even 1 copy of the hunger games and catching fire... people must have really hated mockingjay hahah.

Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder -  There was 3 for 2 in this bookstore here in Norway called ARK ( Ark.no) So i got 3 books there (third one was for free since it is 3 books for the price of 2)

Insurgent by Veronica Roth - I already read this one, but I wanted my own copy since the book I read I borrowed from the library.

The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey - I wasn't really interested in this one at first, but after a while I saw so many people raving about it and just really loving it, so i decided to buy it, I am really excited to read it!.

One thing that bothers me is that my Divergent and Insurgent covers don't match :/, but I think i like the Insurgent cover more, I might end up getting Allegiant in this version too.

Which Covers do you like more ?

Summary(From Goodreads): What if you’d been living your life as if you were dying—only to find out that you had your whole future ahead of you?

When sixteen-year-old Alice is diagnosed with leukemia, her prognosis is grim. To maximize the time she does have, she vows to spend her final months righting wrongs—however she sees fit. She convinces her friend Harvey, whom she knows has always had feelings for her, to help her with a crazy bucket list that’s as much about revenge (humiliating her ex-boyfriend and getting back at her arch nemesis) as it is about hope (doing something unexpectedly kind for a stranger and reliving some childhood memories). But just when Alice’s scores are settled, she goes into remission.

Now Alice is forced to face the consequences of all that she’s said and done, as well as her true feelings for Harvey. But has she done irreparable damage to the people around her, and to the one person who matters most?

What I think: I first heard about this book through The Readables on Youtube and I have been so interested in it since then, it seems like a very interesting book

Valentines Day Outfits

Hey everyone since Valentines day is right around the corner and I don't have a date i thought I would show some outfits I would wear if I had a date ( not that I love Valentines day, i don't think you need one day to love someone and give them presents, that should be every day! haha.)

Outfit no 1
Valentines day 1
I love this dress, I find it so pretty and the moment i saw it I knew I wanted to make a outfit post with it, so here it is,
Dress - Jades24
Coat - Wallis
Shoes - Debenhams
Purse - Stylebop
Necklace - Wetseal
Ring - Betsey Johnson
Earrings - Topshop
Makeup - For this look i would wear something simple, nothing too bold
Nails - Just a French tip, again no bold colors

Outfit no 2
Valentines day 2
This outfit is more laid back, I think that out of the three outfits this would be the one i would wear, I am not sure if I 100% love that top with this outfit, I would be more confident if I could see it on myself and not on a picture.
Top - Cabionline
Coat - Fashionunion ( I adore this coat, I want it so much! haha)
Jeans - Nelly
Boots - American Eagle ( I wasn't sure if I should put boots or heels with this, but in the end I chose boots because that is what i would prefer to wear.)
Watch - Harvey Nichols (I love this watch, it's so lovely, I used to not like watches at all, but now all I want is to buy more pretty watches haha, i just love wearing them.)
Necklace - Mollie and Fred (I own one of these Pocket Watch Necklaces and I love it)
Makeup - with this I would wear a Simple smokey eye makeup, with red lipstick
Nails - either a french tip, or red nail polish

Outfit no 3
Valentines day 3
I wanted to make at least one outfit with a red dress because I love red dresses (but just because it's Valentines day doesn't mean that the color red is what you have to wear.)

Dress - Nastygal - i don't usually like to wear dresses that show a lot of cleavage, but there is something about this dress that I just adore.
Coat - Boohoo - I live in Norway so it's pretty cold here, so if I were to wear this dress I would definitely pick a more chunkier coat to keep me warm haha (and i love this coat, it looks so warm and comfy.)
Shoes - Lipsy
Clutch - DSW
Necklace - Wayfair (I feel like I wouldn't want any chunky jewelry with this outfit, just a nice and small and simple necklace.)
Makeup - Again Just something simple, not too much makeup, just light eyeshadow and a nude lipstick (or a peach one)

Which one of these is your favorite outfit ?
Would you change something about any of them ?
Or do you hate all of them ? haha

I did this post on my own, i was not contacted or sponsored by any of these companies and online stores.
