Teaser Tuesday (1)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
 Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Here is my teaser :).

And now is as good a time as any to say that she was beautiful. In the dark beside me she smelled of sweat and sunshine and vanilla, and on that thin mooned night i could see little more than her silhouette except for when she smoked, when the burning cherry of the cigarette washed her face in pale red light. But even in the dark, i could see her eyes - fierce emeralds. She had the kind of eyes that predisposed you to supporting her every endeavour.

Small Book Haul

Hola!, i recently got some books and something special that i wanted to share haha, it made me so happy when i saw it that i ran and bought it haha. Two of these books i got in the discount book store for very little and you will be able to see which those books are since they don't look new lol.

The book Thief by Markus Zusak
Lord of the rings - fellowship of the ring by J.R.R. Tolkien
One Day by David Nicholls
The curious incident of the dog in the night time by Mark Hadden

I got this version of the Book Thief and i think it's just so gorgeous, I've read one book by Markus Zusak and it is I am the messenger, i really enjoyed that book, but it's been a while since i read it (My English class while i was in Iceland had to read the book), and i want to read it again, but for now i can finally read The Book Thief.
There was a different version of Lord of the rings that i wanted but i got this one and when i checked inside the book  i saw so many beautiful illustration, you have to check this version of the book. I will put two of the illustrations that are in the book that i loved ( there were a lot more that i loved but i can't put all of them here haha).

and lastly, i got all the Harry Potter movies in a box set on blu ray, and the best part was that it was on sale, it was supposed to cost 549 kr (94 dollars) but i got it on 99 kr (16 dollars), i was in shock when i saw it, so i just ran and bought it, i didn't want to wait lol, and even while i was walking to the register i was scared someone would take it from me haha( yeah i know i sound lame haha, but I've anted all the Harry potter movies in sooo long and now i have them, and at a great price too!).

Have you read any of the book mentioned above ?
Did you like it ?

Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week…
• Describe one of your reading habits.
• Tell us what book(s) you recently bought for yourself or someone else, and why you chose that/those book(s).
• What book are you currently desperate to get your hands on? Tell us about it!
• Tell us what you’re reading right now — what you think of it, so far; why you chose it; what you are (or, aren’t) enjoying it.
• Do you have a bookish rant? Something about books or reading (or the industry) that gets your ire up? Share it with us!
• Instead of the above questions, maybe you just want to ramble on about something else pertaining to books — let’s hear it, then!

This is a weekly Meme hosted by Should be reading and as you see itðs called Musing Monday's and every Monday you talk about one of the topics above. This weeks i will be talking about books i recently got ( except i didn't buy them i got them in the library, i did also buy some books but i will put those in a haul later)

I got Three books in the library today, and i was so happy to find them, i've been wanting to read these books for a while now.

The invention of Hugo Cabret
ever since The Readables did a review on this book i've been wanting to read it, and when i saw it in the library i was very happy and started reading it today, what i didn't know was that this book had moe pictures than texts but that is fine sine the book is a monster, a monster i tell ya.. lol, i can't wait to finish it and do a review on it.

Harry Potter
when i was younger i read only a few of Harry Potter books, i didn't read all of them  not because i didn't like them , because i did), and last night i thought i would check the library if they have the first book because i wanted to read it again, and i can't wait.

Looking for Alaska
I've been avoiding trying to keep reading The fault in our stars because i was spoiled and now i know what happens at the end T.T, and i was so mad when i found out haha, and when  i saw Looking for alaska in the bookstore i thought hey i'll just read this one first, and then I'll gain the courage to finish The fault in our stars lol

Did you get any new books lately ? , did you like them ?

Musing Mondays (1)

Hello everyone, i was checking out some weekly meme's because i wanted to participate more, and get to know more bloggers. The meme that i chose for Monday is one hosted by Should be reading and it's called Musing Monday's, you get to pick one of the topics that she has every week and talk about it or muse haha.

This week i will tell you about the book that i am currently reading, The perks of being a wallflower, i am currently on page 92, and so far i am loving it!, i thought the whole thing about it being like letters to the reader was weird, but when i started reading it i felt like Charlie is my friend and that he is writing to me, and i warmed up to it right away. I chose it because so many people raved about it and it seemed interesting so i decided to read it ( great decision), and currently there isn't anything that i don't enjoy about it, and i can't wait to continue reading it.

Croatia in April 2013

We rented this cute Volkswagen car, i am not sure what type it is i think it's something like up!, it's a really nice car and it's fast like a bullet haha, plus it's so adorable

This is the Arena in Pula which i love, during the summer there is a movie festival held inside and sometimes concerts, i have been there twice i think and it's so great ( but one tip, if you do go make sure to bring a seat cushion, trust me)

This is an entrance to the old part of Pula, my favorite pizza place is in there and my favorite bookshop of all time Algoritam, it has so many English books and i stayed there for like 2 hours checking out books, and i would have stayed longer if my mom hadn't come for me haha.

This is a pizza from the pizza place, i ordered a Mexican one, it's spicy but not like oh my god spicy haha, and my mom got a delicious one too, the pizzas there are really thin and that is what i love about this place, i hate when the bottom of the pizza is too thick.

A sunset on the pier in Medulin, it's much prettier in person, i am just a bad photographer haha

and we had some cocktails in Volda, (not all on the same day ofc haha), by the way all of them are soo delicious, my favorite is either cosmopolitan or sex on the beach, i am not sure yet haha,

Then we went to Zadar for three days, because i needed to get my passport and mom needed to do some other stuff which i have no idea about. I love Zadar, it's beautiful and i love it there, but i didn't take many photos there, just a few, in the summer when i go ( and if i go) i will take many more.

This is a flower called Neven, and my name is Nevena, my mom named me after this flower and her brother ( his name is Neven), weird yes i know haha

We went to this one restaurant which i can't remember the name of, and we went there twice, the first time i got some Spaghetti Bolognese and omg it was the most delicious spaghetti i have ever tasted haha, and the second time, i got Lasagna and some salad, the lasagna was good too, but not as good as my mothers lasagna haha.

A photo i took of the mountains on the way back from Zadar to Pula

Smoki has been my favorite since i was very young, and i tried this chocolate covered ones, they were good, but not as good as the normal ones

and of course i ate some Munchmallows, ugh they are still as delicious as they have always been haha

Also i had some Cheese Burek, i always have one when i go to Croatia, i can't go a trip without it haha, it's so delicious ( not always though, it's best if you come early when it's newly made, also every store makes it differently, i really hate it when there isn't much cheese on it, and this one was great.

A day after we arrived to Pula from Zadar we had some of my favorite shellfish with some white wine and ugh it was perfect

If you are ever in Croatia and want a good beer, this one is definitely my favorite, it's the only beer i drink in Croatia, and when i am i Norway i actually miss it haha.

i bought this when i was at the post office, it was just there and when i saw it i just had to buy it, it is so pretty, also it has a little lavender bag thing inside so it smells like lavender
but... when i got home i dropped it and it broke :C, ughhh, i was so pissed off, and i couldn't throw it away, so i left it in my closet in the apartment haha, i just couldn't throw it away.

haha, i got some new sunglasses and a haircut so i took a lot of pictures of me, i really love these sunglasses.

So, that is most of it, there are some other pictures in the last post that i made, but it was in a fail collage that i made haha. anyway, i will make a new post soon, and it will be a book haul, i bought like 12 books in Croatia and some more when i got back. I want to apologise for the hiatus, i was just really busy, I promise to blog more after this.

If you want me to do a kind of a guide of Croatia like the important phrases, good places to go, i would gladly try to make it, just leave a comment below.
