TBR ( To be read) December

There are so many books that i have bought and read halfway, then got interested in another book and stopped reading the other. It's surprising how often it happens to me, even if he book is so good, i sometimes feel like if i keep reading, i will finish it and this awesome story will be over, i really don't want that to happen haha ,but i do need to finish them all, so this month i will.

Jellicoe road by Melina Marchetta-
Summary: At age eleven, Taylor Markham was abandoned by her mother. At fourteen, she ran away from boarding school, only to be tracked down and brought back by a mysterious stranger. Now seventeen, Taylor's the reluctant leader of her school's underground community, whose annual territory war with the Townies and visiting Cadets has just begun. This year, though, the Cadets are led by Jonah Griggs, and Taylor can't avoid his intense gaze for long. To make matters worse, Hannah, the one adult Taylor trusts, has disappeared. But if Taylor can piece together the clues Hannah left behind, the truth she uncovers might not just settle her past, but also change her future.

Nena: i haven't started reading this book yet, but i really want to, it seems like something I'll love, plus i got this book at the library like  month ago and i need to read it fast! haha.

City of Ashes- Cassandra Clare

Nena: this book is the second book in the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, i love the first book, i read it in my summer vacation two years ago, and i could hardly put it down. I'm halfway through this one ( actually more than halfway), I'm just stalling because i only have the first three books and i need to buy the others and the infernal devices series, but i decided i will read it and the third book this month, and just wait til i get the others later ( no matter how much i hate waiting).

Nena: i jut started on this one, but it seems really interesting and fun read!, the writing is a bit weird though, like she writes get as git, afraid as afreared and noting and nuthin, i find that a little weird, but it won't stop me from reading the book at all. Plus i need to finish quickly because i got it at the library like a month ago.

i just started so I'm like on page 10 of 492 haha

Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil no faery creature dare face; and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.

Nena: i got like halfway through this book and decided to take a break because i saw the had divergent in the library and read that one instead, but i really liked what i read in this book, i just wish i had bought the second book too. i can't wait to finish this book and see what more happens!,i was never interested in fairy books before, but this one just caught my attention!.

The Host by Stephanie Meyer
Summary: Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy. Humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds taken over while their bodies remain intact and continue their lives apparently unchanged. Most of humanity has succumbed.

When Melanie, one of the few remaining "wild" humans, is captured, she is certain it is her end. Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, was warned about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the glut of senses, the too-vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn't expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

Wanderer probes Melanie's thoughts, hoping to discover the whereabouts of the remaining human resistance. Instead, Melanie fills Wanderer's mind with visions of the man Melanie loves - Jared, a human who still lives in hiding. Unable to separate herself from her body's desires, Wanderer begins to yearn for a man she has been tasked with exposing. When outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off on a dangerous and uncertain search for the man they both love.

Nena: i had no intention of buying any Stephanie Meyer book ever again to be honest, but after watching the trailer for the movie and may book bloggers saying how they didn't like twilight but they really liked this book, i decided to buy it (it was also the only English book in the book store (it sucks to live in a small town in Norway). I just started reading it,so i hope it's good!.

on page 30 of 780 ( i have a lot to read! haha)

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
Summary: In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.

Nena: this would be my second time reading this book, i had to read it once for school, but i hardly remember what happened, so since the movie is coming out soon(or it already came out ? haha) i want to read it again, but I'm thinking of waiting, because i haven't read the lord of the rings books, and i want to badly, I'm thinking which is better to read the hobbit first again, and then the lord of the rings books, or the books first and then the hobbit. by the way i love the cover of this book!.

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

Nena: the summary was way too long! haha, i really wanted to read a classic book, and i found this little used book store in my little town with many English books and found this book there, so i decided to read it. i couldn't find the cover of my book on goodreads so i used this cover.

Anne of green gables by L.M . Montgomery
Summary: When Marilla Cuthbert's brother, Matthew, returns home to Green Gables with a chatty redheaded orphan girl, Marilla exclaims, "But we asked for a boy. We have no use for a girl." It's not long, though, before the Cuthberts can't imagine how they could ever do without young Anne of Green Gables--but not for the original reasons they sought an orphan. Somewhere between the time Anne "confesses" to losing Marilla's amethyst pin (which she never took) in hopes of being allowed to go to a picnic, and when Anne accidentally dyes her hated carrot-red hair green, Marilla says to Matthew, "One thing's for certain, no house that Anne's in will ever be dull."

Nena: this was one of my favorite books when i was little (after i learnt English which is around 10 or 11) and i found this book at the used book store i talked about earlier and i just had to buy it. i can't wait to start reading it again!

Bridget Jones's diary by HelenFielding

Summary: "139 lbs. (how is it possible to put on 4 pounds in the middle of the night? Could flesh somehow have solidified becoming denser and heavier? Repulsive, horrifying notion), alcohol units 4 (excellent) cigarettes 21 (poor but will give up totally tomorrow), number of correct lottery numbers 2 (better, but nevertheless useless)..."

Bridget Jones's Diary is the devastatingly self-aware, laugh-out-loud daily chronicle of Bridget's permanent, doomed quest for self-improvement--a y ear in which she resolves to: reduce the circumference of each thigh by 1.5 inches, visit the gym three times a week not just to buy a sandwich, form a functional relationship with a responsible adult--and learn to program the VCR.

Over the course of the year, Bridget loses a total of 72 pounds but gains a total of 74. She remains, however, optimistic...

Nena: i loved the movies, they were hilarious, and i wanted to try to read the book, to see if i like it.
