Author: Sherrilyn Kenyon
Book no: 7
Main Characters: Valerius and Tabitha (twin sister of Amanda, Kyrian's wife from book 2)
Published: December 28th 2004
Genre: Adult, Paranormal, Fantasy
Summary: Valerius isn't a popular Dark-Hunter ― he's a Roman, which means that the largely Greek Hunters have a major grudge against him and his civilization for superceding them. To make things worse, he's very conscious of his aristocratic background and breeding. So it serves him right when he runs into Tabitha Devereaux. She's sassy, sexy, and completely unwilling to take him seriously. (Not to mention that she's the twin sister of the wife of former Dark-Hunter Kyrian ― Val's mortal enemy.)
What Tabitha does take seriously is hunting and killing vampires ― and soon she and Val have to grapple with the deadliest of all Daimons ― one who's managed to come back from the dead, and one who holds a serious grudge against both of them.
To win against evil, Val will have to loosen up, learn to trust, and put everything on the line to protect a man he hates and a woman who drives him nuts.
Review(also on Goodreads):
First when i found out that Valerius had a book i was like what the hell!?, who would want to read that ( it was during the time when i thought that this was the Valerius who did all that stuff to Kyrian), but after reading about it and realizing it's a different Valerius i read it and:
oh my god i love Valerius!, and Tabitha, this was so good! so so good!, ugh i don't even know what to say haha, i just loved it so much Valerius and Tabitha are my favorite couple now, it used to be Kyrian and Amanda, but honestly this book made me dislike Kyrian a bit, it annoys me how much he can hate on Valerius when it wasn't his fault for what his grandfather did to him! he was a child when it freaking happened!, all i wanted to do was bitch slap him lol, (i still love him, but he just annoyed me a lot in this book).
This Gif sums up my feeling for Kyrian in this book lol:
|lol, like i said i do still love him and he is still one of my favorites, but yeah this is how i felt about him in the book (atleast the first half and the middle)|
When Tabitha was introduced for the first time in the dark hunter books i wasn't sure if i would like her, she just didn't interest me that much, but reading from her point of view made me love her so much, she is just so badass, such a great character and ugh! i have no words( except for what i just said haha...)
Have you read this book ?, if yes what did you think ? if no will you read it and have you read any of the Dark Hunter books ?
