Verity by Colleen Hoover
Synopsis:
Lowen Ashleigh is a struggling writer on the brink of financial ruin when she accepts the job offer of a lifetime. Jeremy Crawford, husband of bestselling author Verity Crawford, has hired Lowen to complete the remaining books in a successful series his injured wife is unable to finish.
Lowen arrives at the Crawford home, ready to sort through years of Verity's notes and outlines, hoping to find enough material to get her started. What Lowen doesn't expect to uncover in the chaotic office is an unfinished autobiography Verity never intended for anyone to read. Page after page of bone-chilling admissions, including Verity's recollection of what really happened the day her daughter died.
Lowen decides to keep the manuscript hidden from Jeremy, knowing its contents would devastate the already grieving father. But as Lowen's feelings for Jeremy begin to intensify, she recognizes all the ways she could benefit if he were to read his wife's words. After all, no matter how devoted Jeremy is to his injured wife, a truth this horrifying would make it impossible for him to continue to love her.
This is the first Colleen Hoover book that i have read and i remember since i started watching or bookish videos and reading book reviews, everyone and their mother was talking about Colleen Hoover, but for some reason i never picked up any of her books. I saw that this one was free on kindle so i decided to get it and the only reason it took me 2 days to finish it is because i started reading it late at night after having finished a 12 hour shift at work so i was exhausted and decided to continue the next day and i flew through it and couldn't stop reading, i had to know the truth about everything, this book really sucks you in and you have a hard time stopping because you just need to know what happens.
This book was so creepy but so good as well and if you are thinking of reading it i just want to give out a warning that there is depictions of child abuse and some violence.
and again.... that ending!? I just finished reading it an hour ago and I am still like WHAT THE FUCK!?
I definitely recommend this book, i just started reading another book by Colleen Hoover that i saw was also free on Kindle so i am excited about that and if that one turns out good, i will definitely be reading more of Colleen Hoover's books.

I have been trying to figure out how to write my review about this book because i am so shocked about that ending and i wasn't exactly sure how to write my feelings about this book without spoiling it.This is the first Colleen Hoover book that i have read and i remember since i started watching or bookish videos and reading book reviews, everyone and their mother was talking about Colleen Hoover, but for some reason i never picked up any of her books.
